Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel
Perched on the cliffs above Amalfi harbour, Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel occupies a 13th-century Capuchin convent that still preserves its original cloister and church. The old town and Piazza Duomo are just a few minutes away on foot.
The 52 rooms and suites, renovated in 2023, were created from the monks' former cells and almost all face the sea: light tones, terracotta floors, marble bathrooms and contemporary furniture. Some suites have a private terrace with a jacuzzi overlooking the coast.
In the evening, Dei Cappuccini restaurant and its panoramic terrace serve refined Italian cuisine by chef Claudio Lanuto; La Locanda della Canonica is ideal for relaxed lunches and dinners, while the bar and its terrace are the place for aperitifs and cocktails. Breakfast is served as a buffet.
Leisure time revolves around the heated infinity pool hanging over the sea, the open-air panoramic gym along the Monks' Walk and the Anantara Spa, with hammam, steam room and couples' suites. A private beach club can be reached by boat.
Ideal for couples, families and travellers looking for history and views. Dogs and cats are welcome on request.
