Villa d'Este

Set on the shore of Lake Como in Cernobbio, Villa d'Este is a sixteenth-century noble residence that has become a 5-star resort and one of the great icons of Italian hospitality. Built as the summer home of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, it stands in a historic park of about ten hectares, with Italian-style gardens, fountains, statues, the famous Mosaic and centuries-old trees.

The 151 rooms and suites are spread between the Cardinal Building and the Queen's Pavilion. They are decorated in classic style with antique furniture and marble bathrooms, and all offer air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and an included minibar, overlooking the Renaissance courtyard, the gardens or the lake.
